5 distance learning training courses (video conference) in the field of infrastructure

The Côte d'Ivoire distance learning centre (CED-CI, Centre d'Enseignement à Distance de Côte d'Ivoire) requested that the Forhom Institute perform 5 distance learning training courses (video conference) to build the capacities of road engineers and technicians from several Ivorian institutions: National Bureau of Technical Studies and Development (BNEDT, Bureau National d'Études Techniques et du Développement in French), Ageroute, Ministry of Economic Infrastructure.

The Forhom Institute, Egis International's Training and HR Consulting Department, mobilised engineers from the Egis Group to prepare and facilitate the training.

These training courses, each lasting for 3 days, took place from September to November 2015 and focused on the following topics:

• Topic 1: Assessing and diagnosing the condition of a road network's pavements.
• Topic 2: Selecting a pavement maintenance technique.
• Topic 3: Building on compressible soil.
• Topic 4: Designing pavement structures.
• Topic 5: Maintaining and repairing concrete: diagnosis, repair and strengthening of structures.

The Forhom Institute provided the following services:

• Mobilisation of Egis Group engineers to prepare and facilitate the training courses.
• Availability of an online video platform connection gateway.
• Edition and sending of training material in electronic form and of training certificates.
