Training courses by video conference

From September 2013 to the end of 2014, the Forhom Institute provided 7 training courses by video conference for distance learning centres in Côte d'Ivoire and Benin. Those participating in the training courses were civil service officials from Côte d'Ivoire and Benin. The training courses addressed the following topics:

• Strategic workforce planning: 2013 and 2014.
• Employee performance evaluation: 2013.
• Road maintenance scheduling: 2014. - Crafting of core competency and skills reference guides: 2014.
• Performance-based road maintenance management: 2014.
• Executive managers: optimisation of management practices and tools: 2014.

These training courses, lasting for 5 days, were provided from France by an international trainer. Practical exercises, prepared by the international trainer and managed by a local moderator, were undertaken on each afternoon of the training course.

This involved the international trainer preparing the training courses. It included coordinating with the local moderator to manage the practical exercises carried out each afternoon. The 5 day-long training courses were provided from a room in France specifically designed for the facilitation of distance learning.
