Vocational training is a real catalyst for economic and social development in Africa, and more particularly in the DRC where local skills are sorely lacking in the business world.
Forhom by Egis, in partnership with SFERE and CEDA, has been awarded the phase 2 project management support contract by INPP, whose general management is based in Kinshasa. Egis International has been providing its expertise to INPP since 2013. This new contract will enable it to continue and increase its support for the management of the general management and provincial departments, the overhaul of the INPP's teaching approach, and the construction and equipping of 5 new provincial training centres, each of which is expected to accommodate between 1,500 and 3,000 students.
The project has three main components:
Component 1: Support for institutional and educational capacity building
Component 2: Setting up an innovation fund
Component 3: Building and equipping 5 provincial training centres
Forhom by Egis and its partners are providing support for the overall management of the €21 million project.
Forhom by Egis will mobilise 90 person-months of international expertise and 34 person-months of local expertise.
