Forhom by Egis has been selected by Senegal's AGEROUTE to train 15 executives in "The choice, preparation and management of FIDIC contracts".

The training took place in Saly Portudal

The objectives of the training course were as follows:

  • Becoming familiar with dispute prevention and management techniques

  • The Engineer’s key role

Topic 3: Timeframes and financial clauses/guarantees

  • The contractual deadline:
  • Programme
  • Delay
  • Deadline extension
  • Delay penalties
  • Financial clauses and financial guarantees:
  • Measurement and evaluation
  • Managing contract changes and adjustments
  • Contractual amount and fixed price concept, payments, etc.
  • Acceptance and guarantee period
  • Force majeure and insurance policies

Topic 4: Claim prevention and management

  • Contract management and dispute prevention
  • Establishment, appointment and procedures of the Dispute Settlement Committees
  • Arbitration procedure
  • Numerous practical cases on the issues of these topics.
