Tailor-made Training Course: Introduction to the HDM4 Software

A tailor-made training course financed by the World Bank and entitled « Introduction to the HDM4 software » took place in Tunis in April 2018. The purpose was to build the capacities of the chief engineers at the Ministry of Development, Investment and International Cooperation and at the Ministry of Equipment, Housing and Territorial Development.

The objective of the training course was to enable these engineers to:

• master the major features of the HDM4 software;
• master an optimal investment and maintenance strategy;
• compare road project variants and ensure works programming.

The training course dealt with the following topics:

• Topic 1: presentation of the HDM4 model.
• Topic 2: use of the HDM4 model for analysing strategies.

Topic 3: calibration.

Description of actual services provided by our staff within the assignment:

This seven-day tailor-made training course was facilitated in Tunis by an expert trainer of the Forhom Institute.

The services provided were as follows:

• Mobilisation and management of the trainer.
• Educational design of the training course and management of the training materials.
• Facilitation of the training course.
• Preparation and dispatch of the evaluation report, of the training certificates and of the training documents in electronic format.
