Assistance to Owner for Setting up Sector Vocational Training Centres

In liaison with the Project Monitoring and Coordination Unit created within the Cameroonian Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training and other departments of the Ministry, the Forhom Institute has been commissioned to conduct the following actions:

• Contributing to the implementation of Phase 1 of the project by facilitating the establishment of continuing training courses, assisting GICAM (Groupement inter-patronal du Cameroun), the Cameroonian employers association, with setting up a unit in charge of supporting its members, and facilitating the design of a graduate monitoring and professional integration tool.
• Specifying the conditions for setting up two Sector Vocational Training Centres, one for industrial maintenance and transport/logistics and the other one for the food-processing industry.
• Organising the creation of the Sector Vocational Training Centres by adjusting the works programming requirements and the architectural drawings of their buildings.
• Supporting the operation of the Sector Vocational Training Centres during the activity start-up phase.
• Assisting the Project Monitoring and Coordination Unit in its various areas of action.
• Accompanying change and capacity building towards a professional approach that meets the Cameroonian firms’ requirements.

A technical assistant is entrusted with supporting the Project Monitoring and Coordination Unit and its coordinator throughout the project duration.

• Experts are in charge of short-term assignments in the fields of vocational training and the professional sectors of the Sector Vocational Training Centres.
• The project is organised and supervised via a back office in charge of controlling the quality of services and mobilising additional ad hoc expertise.
