In-house training course: ‘Auditing accounts based on recognised entitlements’

As part of the capacity-building programme for GIZ Benin’s teams, Forhom was selected to organise and lead a five-day training session in La Rochelle on ‘Certification of accounts based on recognised entitlements’. The training covers the following topics:

• The basis, concept and organisation of certification
• The INTOSAI regulatory framework and the Fundamental Principles of Audit
• Organisation and conduct of a certification engagement
• Report preparation and the quality control system for certification

The specific objectives of the training course are:

• To understand the accrual-based accounting principles applied in the public sector

• To gain a thorough understanding of the applicable standards and frameworks

• To implement the certification of accounts in accordance with the new legislation applicable in Benin

The nature of the services provided for this training course:

• Recruitment and management of a trainer’s contract;
• Design and approval of training materials;
• Preparation and logistical organisation of the training course;
• Evaluation of the training course and the awarding of certificates to participants.
